Who is starting, who is injured, and what’s the latest? The NFL is a non-stop news cycle, and this season we are breaking it down by week. Here is the latest information on the NFL as Week 11 approaches: Eagles CB Jaire Alexander contemplating retiringJust a little over a week since he was traded to the Philadelphia Eagles from the Baltimore Ravens, cornerback JaireAlexander is now taking time off football “to focus on getting himself right mentally and physically” before deciding on his playing career, FOX NFL insider Jay Glazer said Tuesday. Alexander, 28 didn’t participate in the Eagles’ win of 10-7 over the Green Bay Packers. Alexander played his first seven years of his Pro Bowl-caliber career for the Packers, before being released in June. He joined the Ravens soon after but only played in two games. Alexander was acquired by the Eagles on November 1st, along with a 2027 pick in the seventh round from Ravens. Steelers add CB Asante Samuel Jr. The Pittsburgh Steelers added a reinforcement after losing their last three games. According to several reports, they’ve added veteran Cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. To their practice squad. Samuel, who previously played for the Los Angeles Chargers was widely considered as one of the best cornerbacks during free agency last year. He was not signed until Tuesday because he had spinal fusion surgery back in April. Pittsburgh has been dealing with an influx of injuries to its secondary in recent months. Darius Slay is the latest member of the Steelers’ secondary to be injured. He entered the concussion program following the Chargers’ loss on Sunday. Samuel had six interceptions in the first three years of his career, but an injury limited his 2024 campaign to just four games. Raiders hire new kicker in wake of Carlson’s strugglesThe Las Vegas Raiders have signed Greg Joseph to their practice squad, an indication that they will be moving on from Daniel Carlson if he continues to struggle. Carlson missed a 48 yard field goal which could have forced the 10-7 loss to Denver to overtime. It was just four days since he missed a field goal in a 1 point overtime loss to Jacksonville. Pete Carroll stated on Tuesday, “He wants to be right for his teammates.” ‘He wants to get clear (mentally), and he’s well-versed on the mentality of … the preparation and the practice to get your mind clear so that you can perform like you’re capable. When they stack up on you after some time, you have to deal with it directly, so we’re addressing that right now.Carlson was a second-team AP All-Pro for 2021. The following year, he became a first-team member. Last season, he made 7 out of 11 kicks over 50 yards. This year, he has only managed 3 of 6. Is J.K. Dobbins on injured reserve? Broncos running back J.K.Dobbins could be headed to injured reserve following a left-foot sprain suffered against the Raiders during Week 10. Dobbins’ strong play has helped stabilize one of NFL’s top offenses in Dobbins first year. Joe Burrow has returned to practiceJoe Burrow was back in practice with the Bengals Monday. This opens the window of 21 days for the franchise quarterback’s return. The time he spends in practice will not be counted against the 53 active players. Burrow can be activated within the three-week period. However, Zac Taylor has said that Burrow will not return to Sunday’s Pittsburgh game. The Bengals (3-6) have lost their last six games since Burrow’s toe injury, which required surgery in mid September.I think he’s in a good place. He’s worked hard to get to this point to get back on the field in a limited form,” Taylor said before Monday’s practice.Burrow will work with some of the receivers but won’t participate in 11-on-11 drills until possibly next week.FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer tweeted that, “Last week Joe Burrow told me he’s returning wayyyy sooner than was expected and gave me the timeline of “by Thanksgiving.” Will now start to practice on a restricted basis. Absolute unreal response and attack on rehab. At first medical people didn’t believe he’d be back before playoffs.”The Bengals had three wins in 2025 and two of them came with Burrow starting as QB. Cincinnati was 0-3 under Jake Browning, and 1-4 after a trade from the Browns. City Josh Simmons, the Chiefs’ left tackle, has returned after a family issue kept him away from the team for several weeks. It is unclear when he will return to play for the Chiefs. Andy Reid, the Chiefs coach, told local journalists on Monday that the former Ohio State star, who was replaced by Jaylone Moore in the starters lineup, would be getting back into the offensive-line mix once the team returned from their bye. City But the 22-year old suddenly left the team just before the Week 6 game with the Detroit Lions, and the Chiefs are deliberately vague about his departure. Reid said that Jawaan Taylor was feeling better after the Chiefs’ defeat to the Bills a couple of weeks ago. He had been injured with an ankle. He was injured in the third-quarter of the Week 10 27-20 win, when he fell hard on his knee while going for a long pass down the sideline. Wilson was never able to return to the game. Prior the the update, Aaron Glenn had expressed doubts about Wilson’s ability to play on a week that is short with New York’s Thursday night match. Glenn stated that they are still evaluating Wilson to determine if he will be participating in practice this week. Wilson missed his first two career games in Weeks 7, 8, and now he is expected to miss an additional game in Weeks 13 or 14.
