He joined the Ravens soon after but only played in two games. Alexander was acquired by the Eagles on November 1st, along with a 2027 pick in the seventh round from Ravens. Steelers add CB Asante Samuel Jr. The Pittsburgh Steelers added a reinforcement after losing their last three games. According to several reports, they’ve added veteran Cornerback Asante Samuel Jr. To their practice squad. Samuel, who previously played for the Los Angeles Chargers was widely considered as one of the best cornerbacks during free agency last year. He was not signed until Tuesday because he had spinal fusion surgery back in April. Pittsburgh has been dealing with an influx of injuries to its secondary in recent months. Darius Slay is the latest member of the Steelers’ secondary to be injured. He entered the concussion program following the Chargers’ loss on Sunday.
