He hopes to return to the team at the second Ashes test against England on the 4th December. The 32-year old fast bowler is expected to be replaced by Scott Boland in Perth’s pace attack. Cummins, however, said that he would still be able to take up the pink ball in Brisbane a week after the Perth Test.Cummins, who spoke to reporters on Thursday in Sydney, said: “That is the goal. We’re building up our plan towards the second test.”It’s not until you are closer to the game that you will know exactly where you stand. The good news is that my body and I are doing well.”We want to keep that 2nd Test in the running. By the time I bowl well in Perth, I will know where I am.”Cummins said there was uncertainty as to how much he could play during the Ashes series. He has been an ever-present member of the Australia team since playing his debut Test against England.”I’m not really keen to commit this far ahead.” Cummins is eager to get back into the game as soon as possible.”I’m working hard to be as good as possible. If I succeed, I will try to play the majority of matches. The fourth test will take place in Melbourne after the conclusion of the third in Adelaide. There is a further four-day interval before the final in Sydney.
