In UFC history, few fighters were able to simultaneously hold belts for two weight divisions.
Conor McGregor was a double champion in the first promotion, as were Amanda Nunes Daniel Cormier and Henry Cejudo. No one else can make the same claim.
In an effort to become a two-division champion at flyweight, Zhang Weili left her strawweight title behind and now, she’ll fight Valentina Shevchenko for the title in the UFC 322 co-main event this weekend.
Many people have questioned why the Chinese fighter gave up her title three times in a line.
Apparently, that decision wasn’t up to Zhang.
