Last time: Stacks beat Yoshiki Inamura in NXT on August 5, Slater beat Je’Von Evans in Bound for Glory.TNA’s Leon Slater traveled to NXT last week to defend the X-Division Championship. Slater started off with a flurry fast-paced moves but Stacks smashed him once he caught him in the corners. Evans was ringside for Slater and Arianna Grace in the corner was for Stacks. Slater gained control by doing a huge dive out of ring just as the show was going to a commercial break. Stacks regained the control of the match by dropping the champion over the top rope. Stacks hasn’t been in the ring much since his feud ended with Tony D’Angelo. It was good to see him working with someone new. Slater’s athleticism was impressive as usual, but some moves need to be polished.
