Aryna Sabalenka, the top-ranked player at the WTA Finals, put on an impressive serving display, producing 10 aces, in a 6-3, 6-1 victory over Jasmine Paolini, the No. 8-ranked player, on Sunday. Sabalenka also put 82,7 per cent of first serves into play. The match was Sabalenka’s 500th match at WTA level and lasted for 70 minutes.
Sabalenka: “I felt in control. I was focused and calm.”I am super proud and happy of the work done. I feel like things are going well and I get better and better each day. I hope we will keep on doing what we are doing, and that we can remain there.
