Since his exit from Xtreme Couture in Las Vegas, Khamzat Chimaev has found himself a new home when he is in the States.
This coming May 9, Khamzat Chimaev makes the first defense of his middleweight title when he takes on longtime rival Sean Strickland in the UFC 328 main event.
The two UFC stars used to train together at Xtreme Couture before ‘Borz’ left the gym to seek new pastures, potentially knowing that he would be facing Strickland in the future.
And now when the Chechen touches down in the United States, he seemingly has a new home to prepare from, and that is the Jaxxon Training Facility.
Bear Degidio and the Jaxxon Facility have become key to Chimaev’s preparations
Over the past few years, it has become well-documented that Chimaev has had several issues in terms of fight preparation.
The 31-year-old split from his former team as he claimed they were overtraining him and not allowing him to rest, which led to his prior health concerns.
And now, when the champion is in the States, he trains from the Jaxxon Training Facility, with the likes of Arman Tsarukyan, Baisangur Susukaraev and Khalil Rountree Jr.
But what is the Jaxxon Training Facility? Jaxxon has become a well-known brand amongst MMA fans as it is repped by former UFC champion, Quinton Jackson.
As well as their luxury jewellery, Jaxxon has a growing podcast, hosted by Jackson and his co-host, Bear Degidio.
And last year, Degidio and his team opened the doors to their new state-of-the-art training facility, which is the perfect MMA gym for fighters to train in.
Degidio is an American businessman and the chief marketing officer for Jaxxon, and a big fan of combat sports. However, his background is in paintballing, where he used to compete professionally.
The California-native is widely regarded as one of the top 5 paintball ambassadors globally, and he manages airsoft and paintball parks in the United States.

Now, the 35-year-old plays a big part in several fighters’ careers, offering them elite facilities to prepare for their fights, also helping them link up with other elite coaches.
Since ramping up his training in America, Chimaev has linked up with legendary fitness coach, Sam Calavitta, who has helped improve the Chechen’s gas tank during his time working with him.
