Alex Pereira then shared video of his gym battle with a 6ft7in former UFC heavyweight.
Robelis Despaigne, an Olympic bronze medalist for taekwondo, transitioned from MMA to MMA on June 20, 2022. A 4-0 start to life in his new sport got the Cuban KO artist signed by the UFC, but he was cut after going 1-2 in MMA’s premier promotion.

Alex Pereira pushed the action in his sparring match with Robelis Desspaigne.
‘Poatan’ pushed forward and threw big bombs, with no fear of the immense power he was walking into.
Despaigne kept Pereira away with his jab. He made him pay for charging in with straight right hands.
The bell rang and the round ended as soon as the stars-studded spar became interesting.
Pereira & Despaigne show respect for each other by touching gloves once they’ve finished throwing leather.
