Gabriel Bonfim could have wasted a shout-out during UFC Vegas 111.
The UFC’s first headliner, Randy Brown, put the welterweight division in a tizzy on Saturday with his devastating knee.
Some have argued that referee Mark Smith’s stoppage was ‘early’, but nevertheless Gabriel Bonfim walks away with his fourth-straight win.
In his postfight interview, Bonfim threatened to retire former interim champion Colby Covington if he didn’t fight him.
Covington, ranked #10 in world rankings, is known for his trash talking and his MMA inactivity. Covington only fought 3 times in the past 4 years.
A UFC analyst says there’s a more realistic fight out there for Bonfim.
