It was seven years ago that Tyson Fury, after almost three long years away from the ring, returned for his first ever boxing match against Deontay.
Recently, there have been rumors about a possible return to boxing by former champion Tyson Fury. Following a second loss against Oleksandr usyk, Fury had announced yet another retirement.
However, his comeback talks were dealt a big blow as he was hoping to return for a trilogy against Usyk, but he was quickly shutdown leading to him confirming he isn’t returning.
His historic rivalry with Deontay, which began seven years ago, will forever be remembered.

Fury and Wilder first clashed seven years ago
Four years before their clash, Wilder and Fury agreed to fight each other after ‘Bronze Bomber’ scored a big win over Audley Harrison in Sheffield.
Wilder was the first American heavyweight champ in over a decade after he won the WBC championship. Wladimir Klitschko had all of the other titles.
After Fury dethroned the Ukrainian, it finally opened up the opportunity for a clash between ‘The Gypsy King’ and Wilder.
Fury, however, was later stripped of his boxing licence after testing positive for cocaine. He then took almost three full years off the ring.
After Fury’s return with two victories, his fight against Wilder had been booked. The two met at the Staples Center on December 1, 2018 in Los Angeles.
