Isaac Johnson passed away after falling sick during his fight in the Matador Fighter Challenge.
The 31-year old took part in a Heavyweight Thai Boxing match at Cicero Stadium, Chicago.
Johnson was injured Friday night and collapsed, according to NBC Chicago 4.
A wounded fighter identified as Johnson was taken by ambulance to Loyola Medical Center where he died at 12:01am on Saturday.

Event promoter releases statement
The event’s promoter, Joe Goytia, confirmed Isaac Johnson’s sad passing in a Facebook post.
“I don’t have the words to express how I feel right now.”He wrote.
“This is a post I hoped to never make, last night one of the fighters in our event Isaac Johnson collapsed towards end of his fight.
“Medical attention was given by medical staff on hand and he was transported to hospital. I was then informed at around 130 am this morning that he didn’t make it .
“I don’t have the words to express how I feel right now, all I can say is my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and teammates.
“We will know more as the medical report is released .”

Tributes pour in for Isaac Johnson
Joe Goytia’s comment section was flooded with people paying their respects to Isaac Johnson.
“I can’t even express my sorrow,” Another person added: One person said: “May he rest in peace. Very sorry for that to happen.”
“So sorry to hear this. Prayers for his family, his team and all involved,” A third Facebook user commented.
“Didn’t know the guy but seen how he had a radiant smile, even moments before falling he smiled, this is the game we play, the man was a true warrior to the very end,” Someone else wrote.
“Thinking of his loved ones during this difficult time,” Another person has been added.
