Since October, the hard-hitting heavyweight champ has had trouble seeing. Ciryl Gane poked him in both eyes during their fight in Abu Dhabi. He has revealed the severity of his injuries, and claimed he hasn’t been training since the fight.
Aspinall has retained his title even though the fight was declared a “no contest” and has called Gane a dirty opponent after the fact. In response, he has vowed that he will be a meaner fighter when he gets back into the octagon.
