Running Back2 of 5Devin Singltary, New York Giants (5 percent roster)The Giants showed what their backfield will look like in the absence of Cam Skattebo. While many expected Tyrone Tracy Jr. to emerge as a lead back, the team ended up taking more of a platoon approach that involved a heavy dosage of Singletary.Although his production ultimately left something to be desired—Singletary mustered just 7.1 points in the contest—there should be better days ahead. With Singletary garnering more touches (he logged 10 to Tracy’s eight) and offensive snaps (32 vs. 25) than his counterpart during a double-digit loss to the 49ers, the veteran backup might just be a viable RB3/flex option for desperate fantasy managers. Tank Bigsby (26%) Philadelphia Eagles: After a stellar performance with 104 yard on nine carries two weeks ago against the Giants, Bigsby might be poised to have a great fantasy season. While much of Bigsby’s value is dependent on Saquon Barkley’s health, he could end up as a week-winning pick if he earns his first start in Philadelphia. Barkley has been out since Week 8 due to a groin injury. The team is yet to give a definitive update as to his status to face the Packers in Week 10. Managers who need backfield help should roster Bigsby, whose handcuffs value makes him an excellent addition to deeper leagues. Bigsby’s production during his limited time on the field before the bye will make him a borderline RB1 for Week 10.Dylan Sampson (Cleveland Browns, 16 Percent Rostered)Sampson might be in line to become the lead back for the Browns if Quinshon Judikins is injured for some time. Sampson, who was the starter in Week 8, has been able to show he is capable of leading the backfield. Although he didn’t perform much after Judkins injury (finishing with only 7.9 points against the Patriots), he has shown that he can do so. Sampson, who was the RB9 for the first game, has been relegated as a backup over the past seven games. While he won’t start if Judkins plays, it’s still worth a waiver claim to speculate until more information is provided by the team. Sampson is likely to be the backup RB2 in any game that Judkins does not play. Kenneth Gainwell, Pittsburgh Steelers (35% Rostered)Gainwell has slowed down since his RB3 performance during Pittsburgh’s trip to Ireland Week 4. However, he may reemerge over the next couple of weeks as a valuable fantasy asset. Gainwell won’t be able to reach the top 10 without a Jaylen Warren injury, but Gainwell can help managers out in a hurry if they are missing their starter. Bhayshul Tuten is a Jacksonville Jaguars (31% Rostered). After flirting early with a breakout, Tuten has struggled to accumulate enough volume in order to remain fantasy relevant. Tuten did show some promise after Jacksonville’s bye week in Week 8, putting up his second-best career point total. Tuten is still far behind Travis Etienne Jr. in the pecking list (27 touches for Week 9). However, getting goal-line work and an increased workload makes him a good pickup.
