Paddy Pimblett’s first UFC title shot is officially on the calendar.
The Scouser was given the controversial opportunity to wear gold around his waist in the UFC for the first ever time.
Dana White announced that a number of major fights would take place in 2026. Among them, a match between Pimblett against Justin Gaethje to determine the interim lightweight championship. The belt’s creation comes as a result of champion Ilia Topuria taking a hiatus due to personal issues.
‘The Baddy’ and ‘The Highlight’ will headline UFC 324 in Las Vegas on January 24, and the former will be hoping to bring a UFC title back to Liverpool to kick off his campaign in the new year.
