Oleksandr Usky praised Yaroslav Amoosov for his submission win in March of this year, marking the end of an extended period of inactivity.
Amosov suffered his first career defeat in November 2023 against Jason Jackson, and lost his unbeaten 27-0 record as well as the Bellator Welterweight title.
It was a difficult decision for the highly-regarded fighter to put his career on hold in order to defend Ukraine in 2022. Other competitors, such as Usyk and Vasiliy Lormachenko, also took this step.

The 32-year old will face a veteran in the welterweight class, Neil Magny, at UFC Vegas 112.
Magny, who holds the record for the most victories in UFC’s welterweight division, has faced many rising competitors, which he has defeated.
In 2025 the 38-yearold beat and finished Elizeu Zaleski Dos Santos & Jake Matthews after losing last year to Michael Morales & Carlos Prates.
