Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers clashed in a brutal on-field brawl that left two officials on the ground. The Packers won the game 35-25 despite Rodgers’ best efforts. This was due to an impressive performance from tight end Tucker Kraft. After a Steelers’ punt, Pittsburgh linebacker Nick Herbig began a fight with two Packers players for holding his teammate down. Herbig was punished for unnecessary roughness, but the fight was already in progress when officials began to throw down flags. The chaotic situation was eventually resolved when both officials got up and walked away. In the game itself, Rodgers completed 24 of his 36 pass attempts for 221 yards and two recorded two touchdowns in the process.Meanwhile, Packers star Kraft produced a stunning performance who completed seven receptions for 143 yards and scored two touchdowns.Elsewhere on the night, Steelers star Rodgers risked the wrath of the NFL after being caught using a banned substance mid-game. NBC cameras and eagle-eyed viewers caught Rodgers’ use of smelling salve between plays. Rodgers used smelling salts in their 33-31 loss to Cincinnati, just one week before. The repeated incidents have caused concern among some fans, given the NFL had banned smelling salts earlier this year amid concern over player safety. After a Steelers kick, Pittsburgh linebacker Nick Herbig began to argue with two Packers stars who were holding down his teammate. Both officials managed to rise and diffuse the situation almost instantly.
