Caleb Tiernan may not have an elite physical trait but he is a highly skilled tackler with a sophisticated understanding of leverage. He is rarely out of sync or off balance. Tiernan is therefore a good candidate to start in the NFL at tackle or linebacker. Tiernan was a 6-foot-7, 325-pound prospect when he entered Northwestern’s program in 2021 as a 4-star recruiting class. Tiernan was a two way starter at both left tackle and defensive line. He also played four years of varsity basketball. He started 18 games at tackle—13 at left and five on the right—in 2022 and ’23.
