Rob Edwards, Middlesbrough’s manager, has spoken out after being linked to the Wolves position. Edwards, 42 years old, ended his silence about the rumours just hours before the news broke that Gary O’Neil, former Wolves boss, had withdrawn from talks to return Molineux. Pereira, who was sacked by Wolves less than 24 hrs after their 3-0 defeat to Fulham on Saturday, has suffered the same fate. Wolves have now axed Pereira. The Athletic reports that O’Neil was in advanced discussions with the Molineux management but does not feel the opportunity is suitable for him. Now the focus seems to be on Edwards who has also had ties to Wolves. Edwards insists he is focused on Middlesbrough who are currently second in the Championship after four months of his reign. “I was informed about it yesterday by my daughter, so that probably gives you an idea of where I am at,” said the 42-yearold ahead of Boro’s visit to Leicester on February 2.It’s speculation, so I can’t comment on anything but Middlesbrough. Football My main focus is the Club. We’ve been doing a good job, but all I want to do is win tomorrow.”It’s just speculation. I’m not interested in hypothetical stuff, nor do I want to be. Middlesbrough is my favorite place to be, and I’m happy with that. I want to speak about us and Leicester only.Who should Wolves choose as their new manager?
