Thunder
The 2015-16 Warriors, who set an NBA record by winning 73 games in a season, were 24-1 through 25 games. Three more wins are needed for the Thunder to match this start. Two of these games will be against Jazz and Mavericks. In the end, 74 victories are at stake.

Rockets
It’s a loss due to a doubleheader, after the Jazz were beaten the night before. I love this group. Top-three defense and offense. Houston is ranked higher than Denver despite Denver winning the only head-to-head matchup so far.

Lakers
This offense is unstoppable. Mismatches everywhere with two stars in Luka Dončić and Austin Reaves and now LeBron James to bring some fast-break force. With a loss against the Suns, their seven-game win streak ended. Big deal. The Suns have a good team and they play well. It happens. If the Lakers trade for a defensive nudge mover, they are a title contender – at least in the non OKC division.

Nuggets
Nuggets’ first tough stretch this season. The Nuggets have suffered three losses in the last five games, the most recent being against the Mavericks where they failed to score between the 6 minute and 2 minute mark of the fourth quarter. This makes them 2-6 when it comes to Clutch games.
