Golden State won, putting all five West Group C teams at 1-1. This will be the most intense group in the coming weeks. There are two teams in each of the two Western Conference groups that have a clear lead. In the Eastern Conference, there is a little more separation. The Denver Nuggets currently lead with a superior point differential.Although the Warriors won on Friday, they are last in West Group C because of the 25-point loss they suffered against Denver. Curry and Co. have a good chance of winning the group, if they continue to win. West Group B is likely to come down to a battle between Los Angeles and Portland on November 25. To be in the running for second place, the Lakers and Clippers must score well in the other games they play during the group stage. City Thunder. It is unlikely that the reigning NBA champion will lose this matchup unless proven otherwise. The Eastern Conference is much more clear. The Detroit Pistons are 2-0 in Group B. The winner will most likely be the group champion. Milwaukee Bucks lead East Group C following their overtime win over Charlotte Hornets. The East Group A did not change on Friday. However, the Toronto Raptors remain the favorites to advance because they have head-to-head wins over the Cleveland Cavaliers & Atlanta Hawks. The point differential will determine who advances as the best team in East. Detroit and Orlando will both prefer a close loss. Cleveland could be the favorite to win the second place in the East. The Cavaliers could beat both Indiana and Atlanta, and have a better point differential.
