Samford Director of Athletics Martin Newton has been named chair of the NCAA Division I Males’s Basketball Committee for the 2026-27 season. Newton will function vice chair for the approaching season, supporting Keith Gill, the Solar Belt Convention commissioner and 2025-26 chair.
