Liverpool contact PGMOL over Virgil van Dijk’s disallowed goal in Man City defeat to raise significant concerns | Football News

Liverpool have contacted PGMOL to raise significant concerns about Virgil van Dijk’s disallowed goal in the 3-0 defeat at Man CityAndy Robertson’s penalty for blocking Gianluigi Donnarumma in his offside position ruled out Van Dijk’s header.
Referee Chris Kavanagh made the decision on-field after the assistant ref raised his flag of offside. Video assistant referees (VAR) confirmed that Robertson interfered with play while in an offside position. Therefore, the goal was disallowed. Liverpool accepts the result but feels a mistake has been made and they feel the goal shouldn’t have been disallowed.
