A fight card that was supposed to feature two of the fighting Davis brothers in their hometown of Norfolk, Virginia, has been postponed to a date yet to be announced.
Kelvin and Keon Davis were supposed to perform on April 4 at Chartway Arena. But it’s been called off “due to unforeseen circumstances,” according to the social media account of their namesake DB3 (Davis Brothers) Promotions.
“This decision was not made lightly,” the social media post said. “Our goal has always been to deliver a first-class, high-energy experience worthy of the [region], and we believe rescheduling will allow us to bring this event back at an even higher level.”
The main event would have seen the once-beaten Kelvin, 15-1 (8 KOs), take on DeMichael Harris, 12-2-1 (11 KOs), in a welterweight bout. Harris replaced original opponent Ivan Redkach, 24-8-1 (19 KOs).
Kelvin’s last match was at junior welterweight. The 29-year-old lost a unanimous decision to Nahir Albright last June at Norfolk’s Scope Arena.
The June 2025 show was supposed to be headlined by Keyshawn Davis defending against Edwin De Los Santos, but that bout was canceled when Keyshawn came in massively overweight and lost his lightweight title on the scales. And after Kelvin lost to Albright, Keyshawn and Keon Davis allegedly “jumped” Albright backstage.
Keon, 4-0 (3 KOs), is a 24-year-old who also last fought on that June show in Norfolk. He scored a second-round knockout of the 3-0 Michael A. Velez-Garcia.
For this April 4 show, Keon was initially supposed to face Marcus Davidson, 6-1 5 KOs), but Davidson was replaced by Andre Sherard, 5-4 (4 KOs), in a junior middleweight bout.
The DB3 Promotions social media post did not indicate whether the same opponents would carry over to the rescheduled date.
