One of MMA’s greatest rivalries could receive a third chapter in the near future.
Jon Jones wants to make his UFC return in the White House, and has chosen Alex Pereira as his favorite opponent.
‘Bones’ vacated his heavyweight title earlier this year when officially announcing his retirement before the UFC’s plans for a one-of-a-kind event in 2026 changed his mind.
While Jones recently revealed why he wasn’t interested in fighting Tom Aspinall for $30 million, it appears that a different pitch for a return to competition has piqued his interest.

Jon Jones says he’s accepted a trilogy grappling match with Daniel Cormier
The rivalry between Jon Jones & Daniel Cormier is one of the most intense in sports history.
‘Bones’ defeated his greatest rival in both of their light heavyweight title clashes in 2015 and 2017, though his knockout win in their rematch was overturned to a no contest due to a positive drug test.
Jones has often made reference to the impact he’s had on Cormier, but a recent post from the consensus greatest of all time suggests that he’s willing to give ‘DC’ one more shot.
Following Jones’ recent clashes with Khamzat Chimaev, he took questions from fans on X, where one suggested that he should compete in a grappling match.
