Jannik Sinner fought to overcome Alexander Zverev after losing the opening set. In the final of the Erste Bank Open, the Italian defeated Zverev 3-6 6-3 5-7 and won his fourth ATP Tour championship for the season.
Sinner won the tournament also in 2023. He clinched the break-point in the 11th set of the deciding game and served it out in just two and half hours.

Zverev, the world’s No. 2, became the first player to reach eight ATP Finals in consecutive seasons since Novak Djokovic did so in 2015-16. He beat Alex de Minaur 6-3 to take the final four.
