Jake Paul, who had canceled his scheduled fight with Gervonta Davies last week for the sake of a more important and difficult matchup, has not wasted any time in booking another arguably larger and tougher opponent.
Netflix was looking for big names, as well as serious risk. They have forced Paul to fight Anthony Joshua in a new matchup on December 19, 2018. It is far and away a more challenging and dangerous fight, simply given the Brit’s size and punching power.
Davis would have been a massive and likely insurmountable step up in class for Paul, but perhaps a little safer given his 5’5 stature relative to Joshua’s hulking 6’6. Paul revealed jokingly who else was on his list of possible opponents, along with the Londoner.
