Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua are immediately receiving temporary suspensions from the Florida State Athletic Commission after their fight on Friday night.
Paul had his jaw broken as he was knocked out in the sixth round by two-time unified heavyweight champion Joshua live on Netflix. The bout was a monstrous mismatch on paper, but it took the Brit almost six whole rounds to finally land the stoppage.
Unfortunately for Paul, he was not left unscathed during the entire experience. He suffered a gruesome injury, which he showed off in a social media video from the ring, and he is now facing a medical suspension from boxing.

Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua face medical suspensions after fight
The fight took place at a packed Kaseya Center in Miami, meaning it was presided over by the Florida State Athletic Commission. This meant that regardless of the result, both Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua were going to be handed a minimum of a seven-day suspension.
Because Paul was knocked out, he is likely to receive a 45 day minimum, which could extend to 60 days or even 90+ depending on a doctor’s assessment. When he stopped Mike Perry last year in the same state, he was given a 60-day suspension upon assessment by a physician.
