After a respectful, no-nonsense press conference in which neither man wished to indulge in the typical trash talking that goes along with a Jake Paul match, the two finally met. Anthony Joshua, who was given a 245lb limit for this fight, looked enormous compared to Paul.

Joshua did vow to ‘break Paul’s face’, and insisted that he will bring the social media star to a ‘school of boxing that he hasn’t seen yet’. It was a relatively polite and amiable exchange between the two men. They also avoided the usual trolling question that is asked at such events.
Paul noted that a victory would be right up there with Buster Douglas’ win over Mike Tyson back in February of 1990 in terms of sporting upsets. It certainly appeared that way, given the huge difference between the two.
At one point, Paul opted to simply stare at Joshua’s chest, which occupied his sight line. He then looked up at the Brit and they had an intense face-off, although nothing as dramatic as some of the YouTuber’s previous events.
