Islam Makhachev was forced to tell fans to stop chanting for ‘John Pork’ after noticing one of his teammates in the crowd at last night’s press conference.
In the Theatre at Madison Square Garden, Jack Della Maddalena, a former lightweight champion, faced off against the former lightweight champ at last night’s final UFC 322 media conference. Makhachev’s entire training staff, including Magomed Zaynukov, the newly-signed UFC superstar Magomed Zaynukov was present.
Zaynukov has become an infamous meme in the MMA world due to a viral video where fans misheard Makhachev pronouncing his nickname ‘Chanco’ as ‘John Pork’. This has caused a lot of laughter from fans and clearly irks Makhachev, the unbeaten Russian.
