Islam Makhachev was a different man today than his usual depleted weigh-ins.
Renato Moicano was quickly submitted by the legendary former lightweight champion in UFC 311 in January. The former lightweight champion has moved to welterweight where he will face Jack Della Maddalena in a fight for his second world title.
Makhachev was never a particularly massive lightweight at 5’10”, but still had a considerable cut to make to get down to the championship weight of 155lb. While he was a shredded mess today, making 170lb he still looked better than his previous appearances.
