Henry Cejudo made Payton Talbott fight back tears when he paid immediate tribute to the youngster following their Saturday fight.
The 27-year-old dominated Cejudo over three rounds at UFC 323, winning a unanimous decision in what ended up being the former two-weight world champion’s final fight. But bloodied and beaten, the retiring Olympic medalist made his way over to Dana White and pleaded with him to ‘take care’ of his opponent.
Talbott has become one of UFC 311’s hottest prospects at bantamweight. He overcame his first loss in January against Raoni barcelos. After a loss to Felipe Lima, he won his next fight against Cejudo.
