Fantasy Football Week 11 TE preview: Who to start, sit, stream and DFS

Tight end continues to be a position that is entertaining, but not reliable. In a week where we never thought we’d say it, Cade Otton, and Dalton Schultz both look like must-starts. My early Week 11 predictions project them both as the top five tight ends. Both tight ends are ranked in our Week 11 early consensus tight end rankings. Schultz will probably have an easier time answering the question “What could possibly go wrong?” Last time we were really excited to start Schultz, Schultz scored 4.4 Fantasy PPR points. We were all ashamed of him and immediately removed him from the rankings. We should have ignored this. In his two last games, he averaged 16 Fantasy PPR points. In fact, his only PPR Fantasy point score below 10 was in Week 8. We are starting Otton even though his matchup against Titans is not great. Baker Mayfield is forced to throw Otton because Mike Evans and Chris Godwin are out. Last week, Otton had 12 targets. He has had 37 in the last five games. He has scored eight PPR fantasy points in this stretch. Otton also has a poor matchup, but we don’t think you can find a better tight end on the waiver wire. We will start Travis Kelce on a week where a defensive unit has wiped out Brock Bowers and Ferguson in the past. And we won’t be focusing on Kyle Pitts. T.J. Hockenson is the only tight end we do not want to start. He is not ranked in our top 15 tight ends.

The Numbers You Need to Know

The Bengals give up the most PPR FPPG (22,7) to tight ends in the league. You’ll have a hard time guessing who the Steelers tight ends will be this weekend. Pat Freiermuth has our vote. 10.6 — Travis Kelce had the most point of any tight-end against the Bills, 10.6. Cade Otton will have to surpass that.16.7% – Brenton Strange’s target share was 16.7% in the first half of the season. He can come off the Injured Reserve, and could play a bigger role in case both Brian Thomas and Travis Hunter miss a game. This is more than his last three combined games. Harold Fannin’s Week 10 was disappointing, but he still managed a target share of 21.9%. David Njoku ran barely half the routes for Browns. 51.2%. He’s the clear TE2 in Cleveland.11.9 — Since Jaxson Dart took over as the starter, Theo Johnson is averaging 11.9 PPR FPPG, good enough for TE10 in that stretch.Week 11 Streamers (TE Preview)
