Islam Makhachev debuted at welterweight in the UFC 322’s main event, where he faced Jack Della Maddalena.
The Russian wrestler defeated the Australian in five rounds and became the new champion of the 170lb weight class. He joins a select group of fighters who have won titles in two different classes.
Ilia TOPURIA is one of them. She continues to promote a megafight against Makhachev at the UFC White House next June.

Makhachev returns as the leader in the pound-for -pound rankings
Topuria, a 34-year-old man from Argentina, took the number one spot in the pound for pound rankings after he beat Renato Moicano earlier this year.
