Charles Oliveira is out for revenge when he returns to the Octagon on March 7.
Some have questioned Oliveira’s hunger as he prepares for another huge title fight in his 37th bout under the UFC banner.
‘Do Bronx’ may be a former champion with various records and accolades to his name but he has never held the title that is on the line next month.
One thing that is sure to motivate Oliveira is proving Max Holloway wrong following the BMF titleholder’s comments about their first fight.
That being said, the point that was raised by ‘Blessed’ regarding the strange ending of their 2015 clash was echoed by the Brazilian’s coach.

Charles Oliveira’s coach still doesn’t know what caused his injury against Max Holloway
Max Holloway and Charles Oliveira were both on impressive win streaks when they faced off in a featherweight main event in August, 2015.
The fight ended just 99 seconds into the headliner when ‘Do Bronx’ held his left shoulder and signalled to the referee that he couldn’t continue.
While Holloway and Oliveira have changed a lot over the past 11 years, this is sure to be a talking point ahead of their BMF title rematch at UFC 326.
The defending champion’s recent comments about nothing being found to support his opponent’s injury claims were shared by the Brazilian’s coach.
Diego Lima recalled in an interview with MMA Fighting that while he wasn’t coaching Oliveira at the time, he was cornering a different fighter on that night.
He spoke about how bizarre the injury was both at the time and in the aftermath because there wasn’t a strike or movement that appeared to cause it.
“It was all very strange,” Lima said. “Really crazy how it happened. So much so that even today nobody knows what actually happened. The hospital wouldn’t let him leave or return to Brazil because they couldn’t detect exactly what the problem was, he still had that paralysis. It was something very serious that no one ever figured out.”
