Learner Tien held on to his nerves to defeat Cameron Norrie after a thrilling Moselle Open Final that went to the end. Norrie, who was beaten in this final last year by Benjamin Bonzi, had hoped to do better this time and came close.
Norrie was two points away in the 10th set from defeat when he lost his first set. Tien, a 19-year-old, won the following game forcing Norrie into a tiebreak. Tien made some fine shots. He returned a Norrie smash with a backhand down the line, keeping the British No. 2 on his feet.
