In partnership with Brazilian wonderkid Endrick is pursuing a January loan move away from Real Madrid and talks have already begun with a club outside of Spain. The 19-year old hasn’t played competitively this season, and he wants to get regular playing time in order to ensure his place in Brazil for the World Cup. Endrick, who has suffered from injury, has been overlooked by Xabi Alonso. It appears that a temporary departure from the Bernabeu may be imminent. In his first few months, Endrick was mostly used off the bench. However, he did make a promising Champions League début by scoring a late penalty, becoming the youngest goal scorer for the club. Kylian Mbappe was the player who arrived before him and this increased competition for attacking positions. Endrick, despite his struggles, has shown flashes that he is a talented player. He scored five goals in his Copa del Rey debut season, and finished as Los Blancos top scorer. The limited playing time of Endrick has fuelled speculation that he could be loaned out in January to get more consistent playing time as the World Cup is fast approaching. Alonso responded to the situation by telling TNT Sports Brasil, “It’s obvious everyone wants to play.” Even a youngster wants to play. It’s hard to compete in the current context. He must be patient, prepared and aware that he is at Real Madrid. His time will arrive.”Huge Update on Proposed MoveEndrick wasn’t used as a substitute during the recent 2-1 win in El Clasico, and now reports by journalist Fabrizio Romeo claim that he is in talks with Ligue 1 club Lyon to join them for a loan. In a recent post on X, Romano revealed the forward’s plans, writing: “Endrick’s planned move for January is only a loan, no intention to proceed with any permanent transfer proposal. Endrick has a future in Real Madrid and is only considering a short-term transfer to increase his playing time, develop, and also prepare for the World Cup.The club that Endrick has entered into negotiations is revealed in a new update. Romano stated: “I understand Olympique has started discussions to sign Endrick as a loan player in January!” There are already official talks underway to sign Brazilian striker Endrick on loan from Real Madrid. OL presented their plan to Endrick who’s open to talk + assessing all options.”Lyon keep rebuilding the jobOne potential stumbling-block could be that Lyon is not able to provide the Real Madrid star with Champions League football. They are now competing in the Europa League after finishing sixth in Ligue 1 in last season. Lyon should consider themselves fortunate that they narrowly avoided disaster after France’s financial regulator relegated their club to Ligue 2 this summer due to financial irregularities and significant debt. The club, however, was able to regain its place in Ligue 1 following an appeal. It had provided new financial guarantees, and had a change of leadership after American businesswoman Michele Kang replaced John Textor. The reprieve was granted with strict supervision of their finances, wages, and transfers. But the team won four of their first five matches this season, overcoming the loss of key players, including Rayan Cherki, Alexandre Lacazaette and Georges Mikautadze.Big Decision to MakeTalks are still in their very early stages, but there is plenty of time for Endrick to consider his option as the transfer window doesn’t open until January. But with Alonso’s side flying high at the top of La Liga, it seems unlikely Endrick will become a first-team regular at the Bernabeu and the need for regular minutes will become paramount as the World Cup approaches.Want great stories delivered right to your inbox? Sign up for a FOX Sports account or login to get a daily newsletter!
