Fans predict Conor McGregor vs Max Holloway 2 announcement during MVP MMA event:

With Conor McGregor’s UFC comeback imminent, fans are predicting that the announcement could strategically take place this weekend.

This coming Saturday, Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano clash on a historic MVP MMA event which will be live streamed on Netflix.

Also fighting on the card is lineal heavyweight MMA champion Francis Ngannou, who makes his first appearance in the sport for two years when he takes on Philipe Lins.

Former UFC stars Nate Diaz and Mike Perry will also fight on the card, with them being highlighted as one of the must-watch fights of the weekend.

The event will clash with the UFC Vegas 117, headlined by featherweight contenders Arnold Allen and Melquizael Costa.

Reporter, Ariel Helwani, suggested that the fight was going to be announced at UFC 328 last Saturday, however, the promotion didn’t announce the fight and Helwani claimed that it could’ve been because of his report.

And ahead of what is set to be a big weekend in the sport outside of the UFC, fans are predicting that the UFC could end up using old school tactics by announcing McGregor vs Holloway 2 while the MVP MMA event is on, to take shine away from them.

“McGregor vs Holloway 2 is the fight and it will be announced this weekend on the Arnold Allen card to interrupt MVP on Netflix. Understood?” one fan claimed on X.

“Dana timing the McGregor announcement during Rousey walkout would be legendary trolling,” another fan said.

Helwani himself was asked about the likelihood of an announcement happening this weekend, to which he said it would be an ‘old school’ tactic that the UFC has historically used.

“You know, it’s not a bad shout, it’s not a bad shout,” Helwani said on a recent episode of The Ariel…
