Arman Tsarukyan books match outside of UFC against former champion following recent title

After being snubbed of the UFC lightweight title shot, Arman Tsarukyan has decided to stay active by competing outside of the UFC.

After withdrawing from his scheduled title fight against Islam Makhachev this past January, Arman Tsarukyan has found himself continuously in the UFC’s bad-books.

Just last week, the number one ranked UFC lightweight contender won a world title outside of the premier MMA promotion, when he submitted Mehdi Baydulaev in ACBJJ.

The Armenian star was ignored despite being the No. 1 contender, making weight as the UFC 317 backup, and submitting Dan Hooker for his fifth straight win.
