Dom Taylor was eliminated from the World Darts Championship for failing a drug test. He had been due to face Jonny Clayton in the third round, but now he will be playing Jonny Lukasiak.
The PDC released this statement: “The Darts Regulation Authority of the PDC, which is the PDC’s governing authority, issued the following statement regarding Dom Taylor on Friday, December 19.
In accordance with their ongoing anti-doping procedure, the PDC will be conducting drug tests during the 2025/26 Paddy Power World Darts Championship in Alexandra Palace.The DRA was informed on 19th December of a negative analysis relating to Dom Taylor, a player who had been tested on 14th December.
“As a consequence of this, and in line DRA processes relevant to the case, Dom Taylor is suspended from participation in any DRA regulated event with immediate effect.
This matter will be subject to a disciplinary procedure in accordance with the applicable DRA Anti-Doping Rules.
The DRA will refrain from making any additional comments until the conclusion of this confidential process.”More coming ….
