F1 Academy: Doriane Pin wins 2025 title in Las Vegas as Mercedes drive

Doriane Pin, a Mercedes driver, has been crowned F1 Academy champion. The 21-year old Frenchwoman needed only to finish in top six in Race Two after she won the reverse-grid race on Saturday while Ferrari rival Weug was involved in an accident during the formation lap.
Weug needed to win the race in order to defeat Pin. She passed her rival two laps before the finish line for third, but she finished behind Alisha Palowski, who was second, and Chloe Chambers (who won on home turf after leading every lap since the pole position).

Pin becomes the third female champion of the series after Marta Garcia and Abbi pulling in 2024. Pin was second in Pulling’s first single-seater season last year.

Doriane Pin said she “can’t imagine it” as she worked hard to win the 2025 F1 Academy title.

Toto Wolf, team principal at Mercedes, and drivers George Russell & Kimi Antonelli congratulated Pin on her new title in the parc ferme.
“It’s unbelievable, I can’t even believe it!” Pin was delighted, and received post-race congratulation from F1 president Stefano Domenicali.
“I worked hard with the team to achieve this.” Since the day I joined Mercedes in 2024, they have been a part of my success.”We only worked to win, so I’m really happy to collaborate with them to achieve incredible things together.
