A bitter fight week kicked off with relentless trash talk and finished with a face-off headbutt from Arman Tsarukyan to Dan Hooker at last night’s ceremonial weigh-ins. It was difficult to blame either of them, as the Armenian had gone 589 days without fighting and his Australian opponent 462.

Hooker was clearly the bigger man when they finally met in the middle of the octagon. The Australian was able to survive the first takedown within the first minute and impressed in the opening exchange.
Tsarukyan managed to get on Hooker’s back with just two minutes left in the round, despite the fact that he was still bleeding from the head clash earlier that night. As round two started, it seemed that Tsarukyan had the better shots, even though he insisted on the takedown.
