The legendary former UFC middleweight champion is set to face an opponent he hasn’t encountered before.
The Kaseya center in Miami will host a final fight of their rivalry between Anderson Silva and Chris Weidman.
This matchup with his former UFC opponent would’ve been the first time that ‘The Spider’ has competed in a professional bout since his loss to Jake Paul in October of 2022.
However, this then became uncertain after Paul’s clash with Gervonta Davis was officially cancelled at the start of this month.
Most Valuable Promotions had announced the undercard of the rescheduled show. Now it’s been confirmed that Brazilian icon, Luis Felipe will face a new opponent.

Chris Weidman has reported that he was injured and unable make the new date of December 19.
Instead, on the undercard of Paul’s bout with Anthony Joshua on Netflix, Tyron Woodley will step in to face off with Silva in a clash of former UFC champions.
Woodley, who was a former welterweight champion, competed in professional boxing matches in both 2021 and lost to Paul.
The bout will take place in the cruiserweight category of 195 pounds and last six rounds.
