SailGP has had some spectacular moments in the past year. The sailing series prides itself as “the most thrilling racing on water.” CBS will show you the best of SailGP. The Best of SailGP is scheduled to air on CBS Sunday, November 23, at approximately 5 p.m. In New York the show will be broadcast after the Jets/Ravens football game, around 5 pm. Viewers are advised to check local listings for their exact airtime. The show will include a review of the most memorable moments of 2018, as well as a preview of Mubadala Abu Dhabi Sail Grand Prix Season 2030 Grand Final which will be held November 29-30.
The show will showcase the best sailing athletes from four continents and be a guide for all sailing fans. Some of the footage will show the U.S. SailGP Team winning the Dubai podium, ROCKWOOL Denmark setting the SailGP record for speed, and accidents and collapses in the water. This broadcast will feature interviews with the U.S. SailGP and commentary from the event winners. The Grand Final will be two days of fleet races involving 12 boats. It is scheduled to take place next weekend. The three teams who advance from the preliminary races are determined by the points they earned during those races. It is a winner-takes all final race with a $2 million prize for the winners.
The three top national teams are Emirates, representing Great Britain; Black Foils, New Zealand; and BONDS Flying Roos from Australia. Los Gallos from Spain, last year’s champions, are not to be discounted.
