Hurley was already missing five-star freshman Braylon Mulins, a player who had not yet played in this season. And yet, UConn went toe-to-toe with Arizona. With 13:34 remaining, UConn came back from a 13-point deficit. Solo Ball’s mid-range jumpers helped the Huskies find their rhythm. The Huskies found a new player in Eric Reibe. His pick-and-pop 3 pointer tied the score at 60 with just over three minutes to go. “Sometime around 2 am, 3, 4:30 am, I’m going to wake up and think, it was just a nightmare,” Hurley said. The Huskies, who were without two of their best players, hung in there with a team from Arizona that had already defeated Florida and UCLA.
