Jalen Hurts scored a crucial touchdown as the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Detroit Lions 16-9 on Sunday night. Hurts’ touchdown led them to victory against the Lions who failed to convert on any fourth-down attempt at Lincoln Financial Field.
The Eagles (8-2), the only team with three or more wins in the NFC East, are still in contention for the top seed. Former 1,000-yard receivers AJ Brown, and DeVonta, Smith, combined to catch nine passes for 57 yard.
Barkley’s 5-yard TD run was overturned in the replay review of the second quarter. This setback came after Hurts had scored from a yard away with 16 seconds to go, sending the Eagles into the half-time break with a 13-6 advantage.

Jake Elliott made field goals of 27, 34, and 49 yards in the fourth quarter to give his team a 16-6 advantage.
Goff’s 40-yard touchdown to tie the game 6-6 late in second quarter was rewarded with a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty. However, the Lions lost those yards when Eagles Jake Bates missed the 48-yard point by a few yards.
