Merab Dvalishvili has confirmed that he is more than willing to fight Alexander Volkanovski, but doesn’t want to launch an active challenge.
The bantamweight titleholder is so dominant he has started to sweep through his division again. When he fights Petr Yan again in UFC 323, he will break the record of most defences in a calendar year.
The Yan fight will be his second rematch of the year after he defeated Sean O’Malley in June. He will have defeated his top contenders at least three times if he manages to get past Umar Numagomedov in the future.
