No ‘Fight of the Night’ bonus was given at UFC Vegas 111.
Saturday night’s UFC Vegas 111 turned out to be a pretty exciting card with every fight on the main card ending in a finish.
In the main event, Gabriel Bonfim scored a controversial knockout against Randy Brown, which many are calling an ‘early stoppage’.
After their TKO victories over Ismael Bofim and Muslim Salikhov, both Chris Padilla (lightweight) and Uros Medic (welterweight) made it known that they were looking for a performance bonus of $50,000.
Padilla said in his post-fight interview that his family was ‘struggling’ and that his mother was currently living in a trailer. Medic, a fighter who has a 100% finishing rate, says he was entitled to bonuses for his two previous knockouts.
Despite their wishes, Medic and Padilla aren’t leaving Las Vegas with an extra check.
