Historic boxing icon Thomas Hearns made his fair share of history in the ring during his time atop the sport, including one of the most bizarre finishes in the sport’s history.
Heralded for his run of dominance in the 1980s, Thomas Hearns, alongside the trio of Roberto Duran, Sugar Ray Leonard, and the late Marvelous Marvin Hagler, captivated the boxing sphere as the ‘Four Kings’.
Hearns, who shared the ring in his prime with his stablemates and enjoyed success to varying degrees, still had a gold-laden streak of success.
But before his final championship victory, Hearns was involved in one of the strangest finishes in the sport’s history.
