The Cincinnati Bengals’ late-game collapse saw two offensive players vent their frustration on the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense via the media. Down 41-27 with less than two minutes left, Bengals quarterback Joe Flacco threw a 23 yard touchdown pass to tight end Noah Fant. They then executed a perfect onside kick and drove down the field to set up a touchdown to Andrei Iosivas in the final 54 seconds of the game to take the lead 42-41. But the Cincinnati defense couldn’t hold on. After a failed 2 point conversion, the Bears scored 47-42 in just four plays. 17 seconds wasn’t enough time for Flacco to engineer anything further. After the game, Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase and running back Chase Brown let their frustrations out.Chase was seen walking to the locker room and was heard saying out loud, ‘One f***ing stop.’WARNING : VIDEO BELOW INCLUDES EXPLICIT LANGUAGE Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive stars turned against their defensive after losing a match to the Bears. They had taken a 42 to 41 lead with less that a minute to go, but they allowed a 58 yards touchdown pass. Speaking to reporters in the team’s locker room, Chase told them he hoped ‘defense, get a stop,’ without calling out the entire unit.Chase said, “I’m staying in my lane.” ‘I don’t want no defensive player to come chew me out about what the f*** I’m doing.’Brown, on the other hand, was more explicit in his assessment of the game. When asked by a reporter about what went through his head after the loss, Brown said, ‘Probably the same as what was running through your head like, “What the f***? What the f***?”‘ The Bengals’ offense and defense are clearly on different wavelengths. Brown gave his opinion on how to stop it from deteriorating further.’Just do not turn on eachother. We know their game. Brown stated that they played well at the beginning of the season. Brown said, ‘They carried us and did a great job. We’re now stepping it up. I think that we need to play some complementary football. ‘We put the ball in the end zone and go up a point at the end, finish the f***ing game. Stop it. That’s it. It’s all we have to do. Just end the f***ing game. WARNING: VIDEO BELOW CONTAINS EXPLICIT LANGUAGE Ja’Marr Chase growing tired of postgame press conferences like this. Asked how hard is it when you’re losing? “It’s not fun when you’re losing…. I’m going to stay in my lane. But after the offense scored that late touchdown, the other side of the team needed to ‘finish the f***ing game’.Get us the ball. Let us f***ing go to 22 victory and let’s end the game. This is how I feel.’Reporters noted several members of the defence laughed as they left the room. Per Cincinnati sports reporter Mike Patraglia’s account, safety Jordan Battle was ‘the one to laugh, or decline, saying “catch up on Monday”,’ while defensive linesmen Kris Jenkins and Myles Murph simply declined. The Bengals have lost two games in a row since their Week 1 victory over the Cleveland Browns. They’ve also given up 27 or more points every game.
