Lando Norris is adamant that he won the Mexico race with a dominant win. City Norris’s return to the F1 world championship summit is only significant if he can follow it with “two or three in a row”. Piastri’s unbroken reign of 189 consecutive days as the Drivers’ Championship leader was ended on Sunday by Norris, who won the race with the largest margin of victory of the season. His McLaren teammate came fifth.
Norris says that his performance in Mexico was “one of his best ever”.
