It really doesn’t make sense to do anything other than immediately run back the UFC 323 main event.
Merab Dvalishvili’s previous win over Petr Yan, combined with his legendary title run, makes him the frontrunner at 135lbs.
This bantamweight fight was one of the best of 2025.
I can see why the UFC may want to match Yan with the winner of Sean O’Malley vs Song Yadong.
It would be unfair to punish Dvalishvili because he tried to be great but failed to win his fourth title.
